KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
You may not know it, but our church is full of hard workers. They clean, visit, care, and pray, among many other things. Most of the acts of service go largely unnoticed. We can be content to know that its in serving His own and we serve Him. (Mt. 25)
Over the last few weeks, our church has had several opportunities to serve, and stretch our comfort zones in the Lord. (you know all about the “comfort zone” right? Its that part of your life that resists change, even God’s change for our lives, in favor of just keeping things as they are.) Breaking out of that zone of comfort and “ease” zone takes a lot of courage, and faith. Who of us wants to change and be more like Christ? (if you’re unwilling, you might not be truly the one of His disciples.) Playing the religious church game gets old really quick. When was the last time you asked Him for the no-compromise, long-term motivation to follow Him?
